GREENVILLE, Ala. - The Eagles wrapped up their 2025-26 campaign with a strong sixth place finish as a team with
Leo Testas finishing in third, just two shots off the individual win, taken by Point's Jacob Joseph who won the playoff over UT Southern's Jack Brockie who tied at two-under. Dalton State claimed the team title by five strokes at 19-over.
As a team, the Eagles used a strong third round to solidify their spot, behind four teams in the top 30 of the rankings, finishing 55-over-par.
Testas charged for the medal with a two-under-par third round to jump two spots to finish at even-par. Testas started his conference tournament two-under-par through 13 but struggled late to be three-over after the first 18. He improved each round as he gained more familiarity with the Sherling and Loblolly courses. The freshman was consistent on Tuesday with a birdie to start the day before another on seven to respond to a bogey on seventh to be one-under on the day again. He shot par the rest of the way to enter the last day in fifth. Testas would earn All-Tournament Team honors for the performance.
Lucas Nicola collected an Eagle on the 16th on Monday and another Wednesday on the seventh to highlight his better rounds of the three, going three-over in the first and two-over in the second to finish 12-over.Â
Ernest Juglar improved each round, going seven-over on Monday, six-over Tuesday and four over to close out on Wednesday.
Garrett Jurkofsky closed his college career with a 27-over-par tournament highlighted by a six-over-par Monday that closed out with a birdie on the 18th.Â
Mac Moorer eagled the 503 yard par-five seventh on Monday to highlight a 13-over-par first round before cutting five shots off on Tuesday before giving way for
Juan Cespedes to close out his college career on Wednesday. Nacho collected a pair of birdies en route to a 15-over-par finish.Â
The Eagles defeated Abraham Baldwin, Loyola, Mobile and Brewton-Parker to conclude the first season of men's golf in the Mike Rogers era.Â
