Chloe Davidson picked up a massive award Sunday night, being named the Barnes & Noble College Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year at the SSAC Awards Banquet. The award winner is selected from the pool of all the winners in the respective sports throughout the year.
Davidson, a junior for Wetumpka, Alabama, hit .480 on the season with a .530 on base percentage to lead the conference in batting average en route to being named the SSAC Softball Player of the Year. She has 178 hits in her career. As the second baseman, Davidson carried a .978 fielding percentage with only two errors on the season.
In the classroom, Davidson boasts a 3.96 GPA majoring in health sciences and is a part of a softball team that posted a 3.79 GPA this semester.
She becomes just the second Faulkner student-athlete to collect the SSAC End-of-the-Year award joining volleyball's Alysa Klassen in 2016-2017.
