MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner Men's Basketball unveiled its 2025-26 schedule featuring 14 home contests and 14 away from Tine Davis Gymnasium and an 18 game Southern States Athletic Conference schedule and a date honoring the 25th anniversary of the 2001 National Championship team.
One of the biggest dates on the calendar is January 24 when Faulkner welcomes its first NAIA national championship team back to campus to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the title and induct the entire team into the Hall of Fame the night before around the contest against 2024-25 SSAC Regular Season Champions Dalton State.
The Eagles tip off
Scott Sanderson's 12th season as head coach of Faulkner with the Jimmy Faulkner Classic. The Eagles welcome Fisk on Oct. 24 for a 7 p.m. tipoff with a matchup with former league foe Talladega on the 25th at the same time. The Classic will also feature William Carey taking on the Tornadoes and then the Bulldogs opposite the Eagles at 3 p.m. each day.
Faulkner travels to Cumberland for the first time since Dec. 17, 2012 on November 1 for the first road contest of the season and will travel back up to Tennessee to take on Freed-Hardeman in the away leg of a home-and-home series on Nov. 8. The Lions return the trip on Jan. 3.
The Eagles welcome Stillman to the Tine on November 11 for the last tuneup before conference play begins.
Faulkner opens SSAC competition against Blue Mountain on Nov. 20 at home and welcomes UT Southern two days later.
League play halts as the Eagles head to The Show for the first time in Kingsport, Tenn. taking on Northwestern (Iowa) and Oakland City (Ind.) marking the first meetings with those teams on Nov. 28 and 29.
Faulkner plays two more conference games before Christmas, bringing in Mobile on Dec. 6 and traveling to UT Southern on the 13th.
Two more out-of-conference games send the Eagles into Christmas with a return trip to Stillman and bringing in Montreat on Dec. 17 and 19, respectively.
The New Year begins immediately with a New Year's Day SSAC game at Blue Mountain before the final nonconference game against Freed-Hardeman two days later.
The Battle of I-85 is in Tine Davis Gymnasium on January 17 and on the road at Point on February 7.
Senior Day is set for Feb. 14 against Loyola with the final game of the regular season set for Feb. 21 at Mobile.
The SSAC Championship is set for Feb. 25-28 at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl with the national tournament beginning March 13-14 at campus sites and the final site in Kansas City running from March 19-24.
