MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Roadrunners earned 10 first-place votes to top the 2026-27 Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Golf Coaches' Preseason Poll. 
 
Dalton State has won 10 of the last 11 SSAC men's golf championships. 
 
Ben Rickett, Dalton State Head Coach: "It is always an honor to be ranked No. 1 in the conference in the preseason by our peers, but we are not naive about the fact that it's a new year with a new team. This year's team has its own journey, and the conference championship is nine months away. We will get back to work and try to get better every day to give ourselves the best chance of repeating in April."
 
2027 SSAC Men's Golf Championship
