Early lead not enough against Huntingdon

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner led 2-0 at half but fell 3-2 on three second half goals from Huntingdon Saturday night at Billy D. Hilyer Stadium.

Cassie Jackson opened the scoring in the 17th minute on a perfect free kick to the top right corner of the goal for her 22nd career goal. 

Chloe Cooper drew a penalty in the 42nd minute before burying the spot kick into the bottom left corner to double the lead with her first career goal. 

Huntingdon scored just 70 seconds into the second half to flip the momentum before goals in the 66th and 77th to steal the game. 

The Lady Eagles outshot the Hawks 16-12 and put one more shot on target. 

Faulkner looks to bounce back against Bryan Thursday at 4 p.m. in a neutral site game at Point in West Point, Ga.
