Faulkner University

Albert Gertz begins his first year as an assistant for the Faulkner baseball program. He His primary area of responsibility will be working with the Eagles’ pitching staff.

Gertz was a pitcher at Tennessee Wesleyan College from 2006 to 2008 and served as a student assistant in 2009 and 2010.  He then became the volunteer assistant from 2011 to 2012, working in many areas inside the program.  As a player and coach with the Bulldogs, Gertz was a part of seven conference championships and three NAIA World Series appearances. He helped lead the Bulldogs to their 2012 national championship.

Gertz is a native of Hixson, Tenn., where he attended Soddy Daisy High School. He holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in computer information systems and finance from Tennessee Wesleyan.
