Brandon Slay

  • Title
    Assistant Coach

Brandon Slay just completed his first season as Faulkner's offensive line coach, having joined the Eagles' staff after coaching at Tarleton State University in Texas, his alma mater.

Slay played on the offensive line at Tarleton State from 2006-2009, helping guide the NCAA Division II Texans to a pair of Lone Star Conference championships. He was a graduate assistant at Tarltown in the fall of 2010 and the spring of 2011, working with the running backs and the offensive line.

Last season, Faulkner's offensive line was superb, providing the protection for record-setting quarterback Josh Hollingsworth and opening holes for a talented stable of running backs as the Eagles led the nation in total offense.

Slay graduated from Georgetown High School in Georgetown, Texas, before earning his bachelor's degree in Exercise Sports Studies. He also has a master's degree in Education, with an emphasis in Kinesiology. He and his wife, the former Laci Crais, were married in May.
