Josh Evans is a new coach for 2022 as inside linebackers coach and special assistant to the head coach, but he is still a very familiar face for this team. Evans is entering his fourth total year on the Faulkner coaching staff, and this will be his first as a full-time member.
He originally served as a student assistant for the special teams units in the 2019 and 2020 seasons under the guidance of special teams coordinator and running backs coach Kyle Fuller. In 2021, he was moved to working as an assistant for the defense under Blaine Miller and Cadron Davis.Â
The job is a first for Evans in the realm of coaching, offered to him in January 2022 after his graduation in December 2021. Evans is a Faulkner alumnus, having earned his degree in sports management.
