Faulkner University

Tracy Buckhannon is entering his first season on the Faulkner football coaching staff. 
He came to Faulkner University in the winter of 2017 to serve as defensive coordinator and linebackers coach.

Buckhannon started his coaching career as a volunteer assistant at Elmore County High School in Eclectic, Alabama, in 1995. In 1999 he transitioned to the private sector, but returned to Elmore County as linebackers coach in 2002. He was promoted to defensive coordinator three years later. 

In 2012 he took the defensive backs coaching position at Colquitt County High School in Moultrie, Georgia, before becoming the defensive coordinator the following season. 

The University of South Alabama hired him as linebackers coach in 2015 before he took the same position at Alabama A&M University the next year. 

A native of Ecletic, Alabama, Buckhannon earned a bachelor's degree in applied mathematics from Auburn University in 2003.

Buckhannon and his wife Ramona have two daughters, Teresia and Traci.
