Faulkner University

Zach Lankford is entering his first season as an assistant football coach at Faulkner.

Lankford started his coaching career in 2012 as the tight ends coach at Reinhardt University. 

In 2013 he served as the offensive line coach at Georgia Military College before being hired as the associate director of recruiting and player development at the University of Alabama-Birmingham that summer. 

In 2014 he took a graduate assistant position at Western Kentucky University, and in 2015 he was promoted to offensive quality control coach.

A native of Dacula, Georgia, Lankford was a four-year letterman at the University of Alabama-Birmingham as a tight end. He earned a bachelor's degree in history from UAB in 2010.

Lankford and his wife Anna were married in 2016.
