Jeff Porter

  • Title
    Assistant Coach

Jeff Porter is entering his first season as an assistant for the men's program after serving as a graduate assistant last year.
Though Porter will be a valuable asset to the program as a whole, he will be focusing his efforts on helping develop the reserve squad and working with players transitioning to the varsity squad.
Porter, a product of the Faulkner program, knows the ropes well. He was a three-year starter on the defensive end as an outside back. Porter was a captain his senior season and helped the team earn the 2009 SSAC Sportsmanship Awards for men's soccer.
While at Faulkner Porter also helped with Alabama Christian Academy's soccer program, serving as the assistant varsity and head junior varsity coach.
In 2006, he was named captain of the U-17 regional team that represented the United States in the Amsterdam Cup in the Netherlands. He played soccer at Milton High school in Milton, Fla., and was captain of the team his senior year.
Porter graduated from Faulkner with a degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry in 2011. His future plans include entering the physical therapy program at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.
He is the son of Norman and Leilani Porter. His family lives in Milton, Fla.
