Tate Dean joins the Faulkner Men's Soccer program as assistant coach after spending four years at NCAA Division II Auburn University at Montgomery. 
 
The Hull, England, native spent two years on the AUM coaching staff serving as a graduate assistant as the Warhawks amassed a 14-5-6 record, including a run to the 2021 Elite Eight. 
 
As a player, Dean started 31 matches in 32 caps in two seasons as a defender. As a senior in 2019, the AUM defense gave up just 1.11 goals per match and registered six clean sheets on the way to claiming a second-place regular-season finish in the Gulf Coast Conference. He scored four goals during his time there, tying a team high of three in 2018. 
 
He transferred to AUM from Genesee Community College in Batavia, N.Y., where he played in 37 games with 29 starts from 2016-18. In his sophomore year, he was part of a squad that won the NJCAA D-III National Championship, and he scored five goals while assisting seven. Before that, he helped lead the team to a third-place finish in the tournament and was named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team as a freshman.
