Faulkner University

Shayne Guttensohn is entering her second season as an assistant coach for the Volleyball program. Last season she helped the team reach the Southern States Athletic Conference Volleyball Championship after achieving a season record of 11-19 and a conference record of 6-7. 

Guttensohn has previously coached at multiple high schools in Montgomery: Ezekiel Academy from 2015-17, Brewtech in 2018 and Montgomery Catholic from 2019-21. She also has coached club volleyball for the Capital City Juniors since 2016. She and her assistant coach, Faulkner outside hitter Charlee Jordan, led the 14U team to qualify for USAV Nationals in Las Vegas in 2024. 

Guttensohn graduated from Troy University with a degree in Exercise Science. She also holds a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification.
 
She married her husband Taylor in 2018. They have two children, a daughter named Fallon and a son named Boston.
