Lady Eagles fall at Martin Methodist

A four goal performance from current SSAC goals leader Millene Cabral led the way for the fifth-ranked Redhawks (14-1-1, 7-1 SSAC) over Faulkner (1-10-2, 0-6-1 SSAC) 8-0 Thursday night in Pulaski, Tenn. 

The scoring started in the second minute and by the 25th Martin Methodist led 4-0.

The Lady Eagles were able to maintain the 4-0 scoreline to the break, but four second half goals solidified the final count. 

Faulkner mustered two shots in the match, but neither tested standout goalkeeper Caitlin Dumond. 

Rakeema Najiy picked up 10 saves in the match, her second game this season with double-digit saves.

With the loss, the Lady Eagles are out of contention for the postseason and will conclude their season in McKenzie, Tenn. against Bethel at noon.
