COCHRAN, Ga. - Middle Georgia State (14-12, 8-9 SSAC) overcame a 16-point halftime deficit to tackle Faulkner (18-9, 10-7 SSAC) 77-64 here in tonight's Southern States Athletic Conference showdown.

The home team sparked a 9-0 run just two minutes into the second half to help turn the tide of the contest.

After shooting nearly 33 percent from the field and 47 percent from behind the arc in the first half, the Eagles struggled with efficiency over the second 20 minute pan.

The team's shooting dipped slightly to 28 percent, but 3-point shooting virtually disappeared after knocking down just one shot in 13 tries.

Free throw shooting also turned south. Faulkner hit 7-of-9 shots from the stripe in the opening period, but saw that figure fall to 50 percent after the break.

The Knights, meanwhile, exploded in the percentage tallies elevating overall shooting from 20 to nearly 46 percent, while shots from range jumped from 20 to 47 percent.

The key threat in the MGS lineup was Roshaun Milline who booked 29 points.

Logan Jozwiak led the visitors and became the newest member of Faulkner's 1,000 point club after scoring 16 points in the affair. The senior was also a rebound shy of securing a double-double after tallying nine boards.

Lucas Luttrell and Marquis Grays followed with 11 and 10 points, respectively, and had six rebounds each.

Earvin Perroni was the defensive standout for the Eagles with 12 boards while offering up eight points as well.

Faulkner closes out the regular seasons on Saturday against conference opponent Brewton-Parker in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. central.
