Faulkner Athletics announces attendance policy for indoor sports

Faulkner University is excited to welcome the return of its indoor sports seasons with the tip-off of men's and women's basketball set for just two weeks away. In accordance with the continued gubernatorial orders and public health advisories surrounding COVID-19, the Faulkner Athletic Department is committed to ensuring the health and safety of all of its stakeholders while also providing an enjoyable experience at intercollegiate competitions.
 
As such, the Faulkner Athletic Department is releasing the following guidelines for attendance of basketball and volleyball games held in Tine Davis Gymnasium this season. The Faulkner Athletic Department reserves the right to alter guidelines based upon changing information from the governor's office and the Alabama Department of Public Health.
 
• Bleachers on floor-level will be closed and unavailable for seating at all games
• All attendees must sit in the chairback sections located on the upper level of the facility
• Chairback sections have had been altered such that every other chair is available for seating, placing at least one empty seat between attendees
• Attendance is limited at this time to Faulkner students, faculty, staff, and a select number of family members of Faulkner student-athletes
• All attendees MUST wear masks while inside the facility
• Family units are encouraged to sit together
• Temperature checks will be performed upon entrance to the facility
• Individuals with a temperature of greater than 100.3 will be denied entrance to the venue
• Attendees must use designated entrances as marked on game days
• Families and attendees should meet their student-athletes outside the facility postgame in order to prevent excess crowding in lobbies and hallways
