COCHRAN, Ga. – Faulkner led by as many as 20 and never trailed by more than four Thursday night as it notched a pivotal 75-60 SSAC victory over Middle Georgia State. The 12th and final lead change of the contest came with 8:48 remaining in the third quarter when Angela Grant hit a free throw to put the Lady Eagles up 35-34. The make was part of a 15-2 run that vaulted Faulkner to an 11-point lead by the 3:31 mark of the third. 

The Knights narrowed the gap to six by the end of the third quarter before Grant made a jumper with 8:52 left in the game to move the lead to eight for the Lady Eagles. From there, the backcourt duo of Micala Fisanick and Ashlyn Adkins took over the scoring. The tandem combined for 21 points the rest of the way including 13 from Fisanick on the way to win. 

Faulkner shot 38.2 percent from the floor while MGA hit 34.8 percent of its attempts. Faulkner grabbed 44 rebounds while Middle Georgia State pulled 35. The Lady Eagles also assisted on 20 of 26 made baskets.

Fisanick topped Faulkner with 22 points. Adkins added 18 points and six rebounds for the Lady Eagles while Morgan Holland had 11 points, 12 rebounds and five assists. 
Faulkner (14-11, 7-6 SSAC) returns to action Saturday when it travels to Brewton-Parker.
