LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - A slow start defensively spelled the end for the upset bid for the Eagles (3-3) on the road against No. 10 Georgia Gwinnett (6-0-1) Saturday in a 6-2 defeat. The Grizzlies poured in three goals by the 12th minute.
Antoine Marques temporarily steadied the ship with a chip in the 13th minute to cut the deficit to two, but the Grizzlies found two more quick goals before halftime in the 39th and 41st minutes to push the match out of reach.Â
Collin Salle scored the first goal of his Faulkner career as
Thomas Buijs assisted him in the 71st minute for a low right corner finish.Â
