MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Faulkner's offense scored three times in a senior day win against Florida College at Billy D. Hilyer Stadium.
Senior
Ainsley Lockwood scored the first goal of the game with a strong header from a well placed cross by
Alessia Confalonieri in the 12th minute. Claribel Hernandez delivered an equalizer from a right footed shot in the 26th minute.
Elodie Metho dribbled past a defender and struck with her right foot in the 32nd minute to answer right back and give Faulkner the lead once again. Claribel Hernandez evened the match yet again with a goal from a drawn penalty in the box in the 39th minute.
Leah Villafuerte put away the game for good with a curling shot off her right foot in the 64th minute.
Faulkner outshot the Lady Falcons 20-8 and placed 13 shots on target. Senior
Brittany Wilkinson recorded the lone save of the match.
The Lady Eagles will continue league play on Thursday when #12 UT Southern travels to Billy D. Hilyer for a conference match up at 5:00p.m.
