LAGRANGE, Ga. -
Alessia Confalonieri's late equalizer cashed in a 2-2 draw from the nearly 30 minutes of a player advantage Monday afternoon tilt with LaGrange on the road as the Lady Eagles battled back from trailing twice in the second half.
Just two minutes after Charlee Hunt put the Panthers in the lead it was
Leah Villafuerte who assisted her first career goal to
Elodie Metho for the tying goal and Metho's sixth of the season. Just about 30 seconds later, LaGrange had a player sent off for her second yellow.Â
11 minutes after Faulkner leveled the score, LaGrange took the lead back in the 67th with Kaia King's goal.Â
That's when the Lady Eagles really started peppering shots towards the Panther goal, shooting 13 times over the next almost 20 minutes before Confalonieri found the back of the net for the dramatic tally with Metho assisting.Â
Faulkner outshot LaGrange 26-7 but the Panthers put six of their seven shots on target while the Lady Eagles placed just eight.Â
The Lady Eagles get ready to restart their match against Brewton-Parker Wednesday afternoon and need four points in their final two matches to clinch the SSAC Tournament.
