PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – Faulkner did not rail for long as it relied on shooting from the three-point line and the charity stripe for the 75-63 win over Texas A&M-Texarkana.
The Eagles stayed unbeaten in the Battle at the Beach event with a game that saw them make 24 of 31 free throws in addition to knocking down 21 shots on the floor.
Faulkner lost most of the ancillary categories including points off turnovers, second chance points, points in the paint and fast break points. But Texarkana made only one three on 16 attempts while Faulkner knocked down nine threes on 30 shots.
Jayden Cooper had 20 points and six rebounds.
Jonathan Garcia finished with 16 points while
J.C. Norris and Victor Munoz each finished with 12.
Sean McCurdy had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
