MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner unleashed a three-point barrage in the first half and attacked the pain in the second for a 71-49 win over Stillman Tuesday night. In the final home game of the season, the Lady Eagles weathered an early Tiger run to hang in the game, knocking down seven triples in the first half including five in the second quarter to take a 32-31 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Lady Eagles opened the third quarter with a 14-1 run to pull away, stretching their advantage to 46-32 before Stillman final made a shot from the floor with 3:04 left in the third quarter. Faulkner scarcely ever looked back from there. Stillman got to within seven once before the Lady Eagles ended the game on a 20-5 run.
"Happy with the win tonight for our Seniors. It will be a great memory for them and our whole team. Stillman is a very tough team. We stepped up to the challenge. I thought our chemistry started to click tonight in the third quarter on the offensive end," Faulkner Head Coach

Faulkner limited Stillman to 27.9 percent shooting from the floor and 18.5 percent from three while winning the rebounding battle 45-34. In turn, the Lady Eagles shot 42.6 percent from the floor and 37 percent from three with 10 makes from deep.
Neely Johns topped the Lady Eagles with 15 points to go along with eight rebounds and three assists.
Morgan Holland finished with 13 points and six rebounds.
Nequoia Adams had 12 points while
Angela Grant turned in her 41st career double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
Kinlee Varnell added 10 points, six rebounds and five assists.
Faulkner (21-6, 13-4 SSAC) remains in contention for the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament with the victory. They close the season Thursday night at Talladega.
