MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner used five pitchers to pick up a 12-2 midweek win over Fisher College Wednesday.
Armando Torres opened the scoring for Fisher by stealing home in the first. The lead was short lived as
Jorge Lucero stroked a two-run homer in the bottom of the second.
Evan Gilliam singled home
Trevor Torppa later in the inning to move it to 3-1.
Francisco Soriano's double to left-center plated
Cristian Martin to make it 4-1 in the third.
Juan Trinidad later scored on a wild pitch before Soriano made it home on an error to move the lead to 6-1. Farris scored on a passed ball and
Drew Mackie worked a bases-loaded walk to plate Lucero and make it 8-1. Soriano added a run on a wild pitch in the fourth.
Soriano drove home two runners in the fifth and scored on a Farris single to cap the Eagle scoring.
Chance Denson struck out three over two innings of work.
Hunter Dupuy fanned two over an inning and two-thirds scoreless to pick up the win.
Stephen Spurgeon worked an inning and two-thirds before
Kelton Pilkinton got two outs and
Iroel Ruiz finished it off.
Faulkner (11-8, 2-1 SSAC) hosts Middle Georgia State Friday at 6 p.m.
