GAINESVILLE, Ga. - After a long layoff following a season opening draw with Alabama State, the Lady Eagles fell after a slow first half to the Brenau Golden Tigers Thursday evening on the road 4-1.

Sarah Clark shined for the hosts assisting the first goal then moments later scoring one of her own then adding the third goal and her second in the 33rd minute to take a 3-0 lead into the half. 

Alessia Confalonieri converted a penalty in the 49th minute to give the Lady Eagles a spark to try to come back into the match. Faulkner very nearly brought it right back to a one-goal match, but a Libby Graham shot caromed off the crossbar in the 65th. Clark completed her hat trick in the 77th to end the comeback chance and seal the scoreline. 

Keila Cardeiro stopped seven shots in the defeat. 

The Lady Eagles look to rebound Saturday at Freed-Hardeman, an opponent who Faulkner has defeated the last seven times with five clean sheets.
