MOUNT VERNON, Ga— Faulkner (3-9, 2-2 SSAC) ends their two-game road trip with a sweep (25-20, 25-17, 25-17) against Brewton-Parker (3-7, 0-4 SSAC).
In the first set, the two teams went back and forth until a Lady Baron service error sparked a quick 4-0 run to put the Lady Eagles up by 5. Brewton-Parker made it interesting by closing the margin with a 5-2 run to bring it to 12-12. Towards the end of the set, Faulkner had the last laugh as the Lady Eagles ripped off a 9-3 run to close out set one.
Set two the Lady Eagles dominated with
Hannah Bryan and
Haven Owings delivering four kills and a block a piece.
Victoria Wheeler pitched in with four kills of her own as they took the 2nd set 25-17.
The third set was a rinse and repeat with Bryan again adding four kills, a block and an assist.
Julia Rice got in on the action with two kills and three blocks on route to finish the sweep.
Bryan finished with 14 kills and two blocks, Owings had 11 Kills and two blocks.
Mandi Hart finished with 22 assists and two service aces.
The Lady Eagles return home to face defending SSAC champs Blue Mountain Christian on Thursday at 6:00 PM.
