MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Eagles bounce back big time against the Wolfpack. The game was close for the first half until Faulkner was able to go up by nine with a three pointer from
Jonathan Garcia. The Eagles went into the half up 35 to 26.
In the second half the Eagles' lead continued to climb. At the 19:26 mark
Sean McCurdy put the Eagles up by 11 with a layup. From that moment on the Eagles' lead never dropped below double digits. The largest lead of the game came off a layup from Victor Muñoz. This put Faulkner up by 18 at the 40 second mark to finish out the game.
Four Eagles starters came away with another double-digit scoring night. Leading the team for the night was
Jayden Cooper. He had 24 points and eight rebounds.
Jonathan Garcia had 19 points. Victor Muñoz had himself another double-double. He added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles. To round out the leading scores was
Sean McCurdy with 12 points and 7 rebounds.
Four of the five starters played the entire 40 minutes of action tonight. With this much time on the flour it's great to see it be justified with an 18-point win over the Wolfpack.
Faulkner (10-11, 5-8 SSAC) returns to action Saturday when they face Mobile University at home on January 27 at 2:00 p.m.
