"It was a great night to be an Eagle! There was great weather on a fast course in a well-run event by Dalton State. 14 runners ran for us, and 14 PRs went down. It was a clean sweep!
All we ask as coaches is that athletes are working to be better today than yesterday and our team has bought into that. Our theme last week was "Be there before you get there." We talked about focus, preparation, and that the confidence you get will come from the work you do. Coach Britton deserves some credit as he has done a great job each day with our training plan. However, it is the athletes that are getting the job done. It is nice to see the confidence grow in our athletes from their work that established record outcomes. We hope that recruits will see that if they come to Faulkner and give their best, they will improve and do great things!" said Coach Reed Sutton.
The Eagles and Lady Eagles wrapped up the regular season on a great note to head into the SSAC Cross Country Championships. The meets will be held in Danville, Ala. at the Oakville Indian Mounds Park on Nov. 8, with the men starting at 9:00 a.m. and the women at 9:45 a.m.
