TIFTON, Ga. - Faulkner wound up on the right side of a 14-goal affair against Abraham Baldwin as
Cassie Jackson scored the most goals by a Lady Eagle since 2009 with five tallies in a 11-3 victory Saturday afternoon.
Jackson opened the scoring in the 4th minute when
Jordan Parker found her. Parker scored less than 30 seconds later when
Ellie McKay and her twin Brooke found her to double the lead. Just one minute later,
Jordan Parker found Jackson for her second goal.Â
ABAC got one back in the ninth minute but Faulkner quickly got back in control when
Oluwatomisin Eludipo ran onto a linkup play from Jackson and
Gabrielle Pfaff in the 12th minute to take a 4-1 lead.
Leeanne Alsobrook scored from a
Brooke Parker corner with
Emily Hardman shielding a defender and tapping the ball to Alsobrook in the 17th.Â
Whitner Bobo got one more back for the Fillies to make it 5-2 in the 27th where it stood until the 45th minute.Â
Tora Andersson scored her first goal of her Faulkner career from the penalty spot to take a 6-2 lead into the break.Â
Jackson completed her hat trick in the 60th minute with Alsobrook's assist and added a fourth with
Imara Nesbitt and
Laura Mendez finding the forward from Pensacola in the 75th. Just three minutes later, Jackson added a fifth. She has scored seven goals and assisted six in her two matches against Abraham Baldwin. Eludipo added her second goal in the 88th with
Zykira Marbury scoring her second goal as a Lady Eagle with less than a minute to play.Â
The win followed a 14-0 win over ABAC last season at home.
