KANSAS CITY, Mo. -
Rodolphe Cicala will take the national stage May 20-23 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois after winning the SSAC individual crown to secure an automatic bid to the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship.
It will mark the first time a Faulkner golfer has been in the national tournament since 2022 and the fourth time the Eagles have had someone competing on the highest stage.
Cicala is currently the 10th ranked golfer in the NAIA with four individual titles and helping lead the Eagles to three team championships this season.
The championship course is par-71 that measures 7091 yards from the tips and hosts the John Deere Classic every year with previous champions such as Bryson Dechambeau, Jordan Spieth and Vijay Singh. TPC Deere Run is hosting its ninth edition of the NAIA Men's Golf National Championship, all since 2010. Oklahoma City has won three of the events with Keiser winning the most recent one at the course in 2022. Dalton State is the reigning NAIA champion having won the 2024 title at the Dalton Country Club in their backyard of Dalton, Georgia.
Faulkner won the last tournament it played in at TPC Deere Run back in April 2021 in a regular season event.
Pairings and tee times will be announced Monday, May 12.
