WEST POINT, Ga. - Faulkner fell Saturday afternoon around a 20th minute goal on the road at Point 1-0 to fall to 4-4-1 overall at River Bowl Stadium.
The Lady Eagles were pretty evenly matched with the Skyhawks and got more shots on frame with a 6-3 edge, but it was a 20th minute tally from Point's Haley Hull that proved to be the difference. Isabella Frullaney slipped a perfect pass through the defense and found Hull alone for the one-on-one chance and she converted with a diagonal shot to the bottom corner.
The Lady Eagles pressed for an equalizer in the second half and held Point without a shot on goal for the last 45, but could not find the tying goal.
Faulkner looks to regroup as they continue the road trip to Abraham Baldwin (1-7, 0-4 SSAC) as both teams look to add their first conference points of the year.
