MARIETTA, Ga. - The Freshmen Four turned in a seventh place finish after three rounds at the Eagle's Open hosted by Reinhardt at the City Club Marietta Course on Monday and Tuesday. All four golfers made their college debut in the event with no margin for error with no droppable scores.
Karly Phatsadavong finished tied for 22nd out of the 45 golfers in the field with a 10-over-par second as her best round, carding three birdies en route to a 41-over-par finish on a course that proved very challenging.
Mariana Laverde placed 32nd with a 54-over par, knocking in her first birdie of her college career to open the second round.
Eleanor Matheny placed 38th at 85-over-par and
Anna VanErmen bested four other golfers with a 95-over-par finish.Â
The 5,754 yard course averaged an 87.61 per round across the field with the winner finishing eight over individually and Dalton State winning the event at 50-over-par.Â
The Lady Eagles hit the road again this weekend for the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational September 6-7.Â
