MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner hung double-digits on Thomas Saturday afternoon in a 10-0 beatdown of the Night Hawks at Billy D. Hilyer Stadium that set a record for most goals in an SSAC game in program history.

Seven different Eagles scored with six more assisting in the complete team effort. 

Julio Cesar opened the scoring in the 11th minute off a corner dropped in by Pepé Riofrio. Cesar scored his second in the 21st when Matheus Magnusson played Bernardo Juca in before squaring to the senior forward who struck in his 20th goal as an Eagle, becoming the third Eagle to hit that mark.

Juca got a goal in the 23rd minute with an assist from Matheus Magnusson to make it 3-0. Pepé Riofrio drew a penalty off a shot that was blocked by a handball before burying the penalty to make it 4-0 in the 26th. Juca completed his brace in the 31st minute with Freire's first assist of the day. Four minutes later, Juan Rojas scored the sixth goal of the half with Freire assisting. The six goals in the half matched the program record for goals in a conference match as the Eagles outshot the Night Hawks 17-2 in the first 45 minutes. 

Freire scored his first as a long ball from Silveira called out the keeper but the only player in Faulkner history with 20 goals and 20 assists won the ball and shot into an open net in the 60th minute. Just five minutes later, Angel Ugwumba ran onto a longball from Freire and dribbled around the defenders to make it 8-0. Freire picked up his third assist of the day as Asaph Silveria scored from the top of the box to make it 9-0 and tie Freire for the most single game assists with three. 

Ugwumba scored his second goal of the day when Santiago Magaña cut back to him before the striker beat a defender off the dribble and fired the 10th goal of the day off the keeper's hands. 

The offensive output was bolstered by a lockdown defensive effort as the Eagles allowed just four shots on goal across all 90 minutes out of nine total shots and just one on target in the first half. Andre Ferreira and Bradley Ironside combined for the clean sheet in goal.

The Eagles sit at 5-1 in the SSAC and technically in first place at time of writing but Life has a game in hand with a one point lead in max points available.
