Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

MOBILE, Ala. - Faulkner resumed play with Mobile in a Southern States Athletic Conference

doubleheader this afternoon after rain brought an abrupt halt to the series in early April. The Rams held a narrow lead after the first three innings of play, but managed to silence the visitors for the remainder of the afternoon to claim the 4-1 and 5-0 victories.

Tori Hollis drove in Faulkner's lone run on the day with a single to right-center field in the top of the third inning of Game 1 while trailing 2-0. Mobile (22-18, 14-8 SSAC) proved overpowering, however, and cruised to the pair of wins.

Chelsea Jones was the only Lady Eagle with multiple hits on the day, going 2-for-3 in second game.

Chelsey Dunnaway (3-13) scattered eight hits and four earned runs over six innings of work in the Game 1 loss.

Mattie Dotson (9-5) and Natalie Walker split time in the circle in the second contest. Dotson anchored the defense for the first three innings and allowed four hits and no earned runs while striking out a pair of batters in the loss.

Walker tossed the final three innings and posted virtually identical numbers, but two runs were earned.

Faulkner dropped to 14-23 overall and 6-16 in the league. The Lady Eagles host No. 6 William Cary in another conference doubleheader Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m.
