2026 CSC Softball Academic All-District Teams
GREENWOOD, Ind. - The NAIA College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team for softball has been released. Five Lady Eagles placed on the list, announced by CSC on Tuesday, and all five have advanced to the national ballot for the Academic All-America teams for their accomplishments in the classroom and their role in leading Faulkner to its first SSAC No. 2-seed and NAIA Opening Round bid in eight years and one play away from its second ever NAIA World Series berth.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Per CSC rules, each nominee must compete in 90 percent of the team's competitions or start in 66% of them, and pitchers must have played at least 17 games or pitched at least 35 innings. Select All-District honorees advance to the national ballot to be voted on by the nation's Sports Information Directors who are members of the organization. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 16, 2026.
On top of her NFCA All-Region, fourth First Team All-SSAC, repeat SSAC Player of the Year and SSAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors, Chloe Davidson adds another plaudit to her ever-growing list as she earns her second career All-District honor. The senior second baseman led the SSAC in batting for a second straight season with a .442 mark while missing three games and racked up 72 hits, 36 runs scored and 23 RBI, along with .552 slugging, a .503 on-base mark and a .978 fielding percentage. She earned her degree in Health Sciences earlier this month with a 3.98 GPA, with a 4.0 and institutional President's List honors in seven of her eight semesters, and has been accepted into Faulkner's Speech Language Pathology program.
Addyson Jarman earns a spot on the list in her first year of eligibility for the award along with her second First Team All-SSAC and NFCA First Team All-Region honors in as many seasons. The sophomore centerfielder batted .397 across all 53 games with 69 hits, 52 RBI and 47 runs scored to go with a .421 on-base percentage, 24 stolen bases and a .970 fielding mark. However, her biggest impact came in her 29 extra-base hits, including 11 home runs, as she slugged .701 with an OPS of 1.122 to lead all qualifying Faulkner batters, winning three straight SSAC Player of the Week awards in April. She holds a 3.98 GPA as an Exercise Science major with a Physical Therapy focus and has earned President's List honors with a 4.0 GPA in three of her four semesters.
Sarah Williams places on the list in addition to her First Team All-SSAC and NFCA All-Region honors as the junior started all 53 games at either catcher or first base. Williams batted .429 with 66 hits, 18 of the extra-base variety, with 47 RBI and 17 runs scored for a slugging mark of .571 and an on-base percentage of .466. She tied Jarman for a team lead of 16 doubles and struck out only four times with a nearly perfect .989 percentage on defense. She earned her undergrad degree earlier this month in Health Sciences with an Occupational Therapy focus in three years with a perfect 4.0 cumulative GPA and Summa Cum Laude honors, as she'll begin postgrad work for her last year of eligibility.
The fourth honoree is Anna Catherine Segrest. The junior shortstop earned all-conference Second Team plaudits as she batted .346 with 56 hits, 38 runs scored and 36 RBI for a .395 on-base percentage, .383 slugging and .962 fielding as well as 18 stolen bases. Batting second in the order for all 53 games behind Davidson, she led the SSAC with 23 sacrifice hits, putting her two away from tying the NAIA career record mark of 72 set in 1997 by Autumn Willemson of Lee University. Majoring in Health Sciences on the Physician Assistant track, Segrest holds a 3.97 cumulative GPA with six semesters on the President's List.
Last but certainly not least is Reece Patterson. The junior Second Team All-SSAC pitcher made 24 appearances and 12 starts, ending the season with a 13-4 record and two saves, with one of them coming in the NAIA Opening Round semifinals, as well as an SSAC Pitcher of the Week award to close out the regular season. In 119 innings pitched, Patterson logged a 1.47 ERA, a 1.14 WHIP and a .262 batting average allowed with 122 hits, 34 runs, just 25 of them earned, 60 strikeouts and just 14 walks to go with a perfect fielding percentage. The Health Sciences major with a focus in Physical Therapy also has a 4.0 cumulative GPA with four President's List honors in as many semesters at Faulkner.
