Atwell's blast - his first of the season - came off Faulkner starter Christian Torres, who lost his first game of the season to fall to 2-1. Faulkner (9-3) outhit the Lindsey Wilson (6-2) nine to six, but couldn't keep the Blue Raiders from winning their sixth game in a row.

Scott Sebald earned the victory for the Blue Raiders, scattering all nine Faulkner hits. James Doubet pitched a perfect seventh inning to earn the save.

Things started with a bang as both teams collected first-inning home runs. Aaron Ashton's two-out bomb in the top of the frame gave Lindsey Wilson a 1-0 lead, but the Eagles responded in their half. Darrius Jennings' leadoff blast tied the game at 1, and Deivy Palmeiro's infield groundout plated another to put Faulkner on top 2-1.

Edgar Lebron's RBI double in the top of the third tied it for the Blue Raiders, and later in the inning Brandon Munoz and Ashton both singled in runs to give Lindsey Wilson a 4-2 lead. Faulkner tied it in the bottom of the fifth with a two-run homer, setting the stage for the final-inning finish.

Faulkner and Lindsey Wilson play again Sunday at AUM, with the game set for a noon first pitch.
