The pair of victories moves the fourth-ranked Eagles to 34-10 overall and 15-3 in the SSAC, while Martin Methodist dropped to 17-16 overall and 5-9 in the league.

Nick Cain's two-out RBI single in the second inning gave Faulkner an early 1-0 lead in Game 1. Martin Methodist answered back in the top of the fourth, with Pat Lecroy's two-run homer putting the Redhawks on top 2-1.

Deivy Palmeiro's second double of the game knocked in pinch runner Brandon Suttles with the tying run in the bottom of the fourth. Faulkner regained the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth on Dario Polanco's sacrifice fly.
