MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner's men's soccer team (9-5-1, 3-4 SSAC) gave up two second-half goals to fall 2-0 to Southern States Athletic Conference opponent Dalton State at Billy D. Hilyer Stadium on Saturday night.

It was a relatively even first half, as neither team could really get anything going to start the game, and the score remained tied at zero going into the break.

Things picked up for the Roadrunners in the second period when Jorge Hurtado fired a rocket into the net to take a 1-0 in the 57th minute.

Justice Nmeregini added a second goal to his team's tally in the 69th minute when he blew past his defender and beat Caio Calado (9-5-1) in a one-on-one situation.

Calado finished the game with four saves, but gave up both goals in the match.

The Eagles will play on the road in the SSAC tournament, and the date and opponent are both to be determined.
