MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Faulkner men's soccer team closed out its season tonight with a 3-0 loss to No. 1 William Carey in the semifinals of the Southern States Athletic Conference tournament at the Emory Fulmar YMCA Soccer Complex.

The Crusaders were able to jump to a 2-0 lead inside the first 20 minutes of the game, and it was too much of a hole for the Eagles to climb out of.

Faulkner had its fair share of opportunities, taking eight shots in the game, but was only able to put one on frame.

Caio Calado (10-6-1) started in the net for the Eagles. He came up with three saves, but gave up all three goals.

Faulkner finished its season at 10-6-1 and 4-4 in the SSAC.
