MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Breanu University (27-5, 6-0 SSAC) utilized the efficient arm of four-time Southern States Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week Kathleen Daniel to hold Faulkner (10-13, 1-3 SSAC) to just two runs on the day while its offense rode 25 hits to the doubleheader sweep with wins of 6-1 and 3-1 here at Wynn Field this afternoon.

Daniel gave up just six hits and tallied 18 strikeouts over 14 innings in the two wins.

The Lady Eagles scored on a fielder's choice in the second inning of Game 1 before Emma Cornell drove in the lone run on a double in the seventh inning of the nightcap.

Caitlin Perry (5-3) gave up 13 hits and booked seven strikeouts over 6 2/3 innings in the opening loss.

Hayden Strickland Oates secured last out of the game with a strikeout and allowed a single hit.

Cornell (3-3) scattered nine hits over five innings while putting away four batters at the plate in five innings of work in the Game 2 loss.

Tori Davis tossed the final two innings and gave up a pair of hits.

Katie Goodson was 2-for-3 in the opener while Shelby Brown produced a hit in each game.

Faulkner will next travel to Middle Georgia State for a conference series in Cochran on Friday at 1 p.m.
