Box Score 2 MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Top-ranked Faulkner (28-3, 9-0 SSAC) finally broke away from Stillman College (6-18) in the fourth inning of Game 1 in this afternoon's seven-inning doubleheader at Harrison Field to gain the 9-4 victory before methodically scoring through the first five innings in the nightcap to claim the 9-2 win.
The Tigers struck hard early taking a 3-0 lead on a Josh McDaniel homer before an out was even tallied.
Faulkner's John Price answered with a solo bomb in the bottom of the first inning and Michael Darr trimmed the deficit to a single run with an RBI single in the second.

Faulkner will next travel to No. 2 Georgia Gwinnett for a three-game series this weekend. A single nine-inning event is slated for 5 p.m. on Friday with a doubleheader following at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
