MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Second-ranked Faulkner (20-2, 3-0 SSAC) solidified its sweep Blue Mountain (12-9, 0-3 SSAC) with 10-0 (7) and 10-2 victories here at Harrison Field this afternoon.

A sacrifice fly and passed ball ushered in runs in the first and third innings for Faulkner, respectively, before the team exploded with seven runs anchored by a three-run T.J. Condon homer and two-run Paolo Montezuma bomb in the fifth.

Condon drove in the final run of the game on a single in the sixth inning.

Israel Fuentes (4-0) had four strikeouts while allowing just three hits and walking no batters through five shutout innings in the Game 1 win.

Junior Ramirez and Jonathan Wilkins held the mound for an inning each to close things out, respectively. Both pitchers tallied a pair of strikeouts.

Montezuma sparked another seven-run inning in the bottom of the fourth in the second event with a three-run shot and Olivier Basabe capped it with a two-run single.

Montezuma sent two more runs across home plate on a single in the sixth inning and Condon concluding the scoring with a solo home run in the eighth.

Mike Peters (3-0) scattered four hits over six innings and allowed two earned runs while booking seven strikeouts in the second win.

Braden Olive, Kolby Green and Wilkins logged an inning each to finish out the contest, respectively, and each booked a strikeout. 

Montezuma was an impressive 4-for-7 with seven RBIs and scored twice in the doubleheader.

Ryan Rosa went 4-for-6 with two runs.

Condon and Reid Long each had three hits over the two games. Condon had five RBIs and a pair of runs while Long scored three times and knocked in a run.

Basabe was 2-for-4 in the Game 2 and drove in a run and scored twice.

Faulkner will next host No. 4 Tennessee Wesleyan at 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
