MT. VERNON, Ga. - Faulkner (20-25, 9-11 SSAC) iced Southern States Athletic Conference rival Brewton-Parker (9-36, 3-19 SSAC) 7-0 and 3-0 to earn its second league sweep of the season here this afternoon.

The two teams split earlier this year, but the same wasn't the case today thanks in large part to stellar Lady Eagle pitching.

Caitlin Perry (9-5) fanned seven batters and allowed four hits in the complete game win in the opener.

Tori Davis (4-6) surrendered five hits while striking out a season-high 10 betters in the second shutout.

Hannahlee Harris produced three hits, two RBIs and scored twice in the series. 

Alicia Richardson was a perfect 1-for-1 in the opener and knocked in a pair of runs.

Faulkner kicks off a four-series week on Tuesday when it travels to No. 3 Brenau for another SSAC showdown. The doubleheader is slated for 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
