MOBILE, Ala. - Faulkner (17-22, 8-10 SSAC) edged No. 23 Mobile (27-15, 13-8 SSAC) 1-0 on a sixth-inning sacrifice fly in Game 1 of this afternoon's Southern States Athletic Conference doubleheader before the home team returned the favor in mirror fashion in the sixth inning of the nightcap forcing the split. 

Maggie Tipton logged the winning RBI in the opener and was 1-for-2 in the outing.

Caitlin Perry (8-4) was stellar in the circle allowing just three hits while tallying as many strikeouts in the complete game shutout. 

Tori Davis (2-6) gave up the lone earned run in Game 2 while scattering eight hits over six innings.

Hannahlee Harris and Julianne Wilkes both hit .500 in the series.

Faulkner will next travel to No. 7 William Carey for an SSAC doubleheader tomorrow afternoon at 2 p.m.
