MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The No. 2 Eagles baseball team (12-0) kept its unbeaten streak alive when they defeated No. 18 University of Northwestern Ohio 8-5, 7-1, respectively, in double-head action at Harrison Field on Sunday afternoon, completing the 4-0 sweep over the weekend.

Faulkner was coasting early in the first game with a 6-0 lead after three innings after UNOH walked in three runs in the bottom of the first, and Austin Paschke drove in two runs on a double and Ryan Rosa drove in one off a double in the third inning.

UNOH had a strong fourth inning, though, after a grand slam and a single that brought in one run, cutting the Faulkner lead to just one.

The Eagles got two runs back in the bottom of the seventh after a Jamal Howard walk brought in Luis Duran and an Andrew Carter sacrifice fly brought in L.D. Coney.

Isaac Guerrero came in the game in the fifth inning and earned the win after going two innings and striking out two batters.

Tyler Thornton earned the three-inning save after striking out six batters to close out the game.

Paschke went 2-for-3 in the game with two runs batted in and scoring one run of his own.

Faulkner coasted to victory in the seven-inning game two of the double-header, which was highlighted by a Paschke three-run homerun.

Tyler Tungate got his first start on the mound this season, throwing five innings, striking out five batters and earning the win.

The Eagles will travel to Gwinnett, Georgia, on Friday when they take on No. 17 Clarke University in a two-game series on Friday starting at 12:30 p.m. central and a second game on Saturday, also at 12:30 central. That will be followed by a single-game matchup against No. 12 Georgia Gwinnett on Saturday at 6 p.m. central.
