BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Top-seeded Campbellsville (47-8) scored four unanswered runs over late innings to get by second-seeded Faulkner (45-14) 4-2 in Game 4 of Bracket No. 2 here this afternoon.
Kendall Bennett ripped an RBI single to left field giving the Lady Eagles a 1-0 lead after its first at-bat and Shelby Brown extended the advantage an additional run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth.
The Tigers tied the contest with a pair of runs that same inning, however, before slingshotting into a permeant lead behind a Rebecca Miller leadoff home run and outfield error in the sixth.
Hannahlee Harris was 3-for-4 for Faulkner.
Emma Cornell (17-8) gave up three earned runs on five hits over 5 1/3 innings in the loss.
Tori Davis booked the final two outs and surrendered a hit.
Faulkner will take on Madonna (Mich.) in elimination-game action tomorrow at 11 a.m. The winner of that contest advances into the championship round against Campbellsville at 1:30 p.m.
