The Lady Eagles dropped the first game of the day 5-2 after Spring Hill hung three runs in the top of the third inning.
Maggie Tipton (JR/Selma, Ala.) hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth to narrow the gap to 4-2 but Faulkner was unable to draw any nearer. Ashton Fielding (JR/Rockford, Ala.) and Abbigail Barron (JR/Panama City, Fla.) both doubled in the game. Shelbie Burbage (SO/Prattville, Ala.) and Dakota Berry (JR/Milton, Fla.) each singled.
Bailey Whitfield (FR/Alabaster, Ala.) scattered six hits and a walk over six innings of work while allowing three earned runs.

Caitlin Perry (SR/Montgomery, Ala.) was nearly untouchable in the day's second game, striking out five over five innings of work while allowing one hit and walking one.
The Lady Eagles scored 10 runs in three innings highlighted by six in the fourth to down the Gyrenes.
Faulkner did its damage with nine singles and four walks while taking advantage of two Ave Maria errors. Caity Jo Lee (SO/Wetumpka, Ala.) scored three times. Barron, Fielding and Kendall Bennett (JR/Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.) each scored two runs. Madison McKee (FR/Wetumpka, Ala.) and Taylor Parker (JR/Corner, Ala.) scored one each.
Bennett, Fielding and Tipton collected a pair of RBIs apiece while Parker, Barron, Nicole Morrison (SO/Hueytown, Ala.) and McKee each drove in one.
Faulkner (3-3) plays two games Saturday against University of Rio Grande and Southeastern University before facing Culver-Stockton Sunday.
