Faulkner (24-13, 15-9 SSAC) took the season series from Brewton-Parker Saturday when it took both ends of a doubleheader in Mt. Vernon, Ga.

FAULKNER 4, BREWTON-PARKER 1

Faulkner opened the scoring on the day with a three-run rally in the top of the fourth inning. Julianne Wilkes (JR/Deatsville, Ala.) drew a bases-loaded walk to plate Ashton Fielding (JR/Rockford, Ala.) for the 1-0 lead. Brianna Cagle (SO/Decatur, Ala.) then singled to right to drive in Maggie Tipton (JR/Selma, Ala.) and Dakota Berry (JR/Milton, Fla.). The Lady Eagles added a run in the seventh when Kendall Bennett (JR/Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.) doubled home Taylor Parker (JR/Corner, Ala.).

The offense was plenty for Caitlin Perry (SR/Montgomery, Ala.), who struck out seven over seven innings of work while allowing three hits and one run.

FAULKNER 4, BREWTON-PARKER 0

Bailey Whitfield (FR/Alabaster, Ala.) worked a complete game shutout against the Crusaders, striking out one and walking one while scattering five hits. The Lady Eagle bats put together eight hits in support of Whitfield, getting on the scoreboard for the first time in the second inning when Abby Tindol (FR/Billingsley, Ala.) singled in Ashton Fielding.

Faulkner added to that lead in the third as Taylor Parker scored on an error. Courtney Ray (JR/Montgomery, Ala.)'s grounder later in the inning plated Caity Jo Lee (SO/Wetumpka, Ala.). Madison McKee (FR/Wetumpka, Ala.) drove in Brianna Cagle with a single in the sixth for the 4-0 advantage.

Winners of 15 of their last 16 games, the Lady Eagles hit the road Wednesday for a doubleheader at Thomas University.
