Faulkner swept the first two games of a home-and-home series with Judson College on Tuesday, shutting out the visiting Lady Eagles to the tune of a combined 17-0. 

FAULKNER 9, JUDSON 0 

Caitlin Perry (SR/Montgomery, Ala.) spun a gem in game one, striking out eight batters over a five-inning complete game while scattering three hits. Faulkner took a 1-0 lead in the first when Kendall Bennett (JR/Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.)'s sacrifice fly to left plated Shelbie Burbage (SO/Prattville, Ala.). 

The hosting Lady Eagles then blew the game wide open in the second inning with a five-run rally. Maggie Tipton (JR/Selma, Ala.) tripled before scoring on Dakota Berry (JR/Milton, Fla.)'s single to right-center. Taylor Parker (JR/Corner, Ala.) later singled in Julianne Wilkes (JR/Deatsville, Ala.) and Brianna Cagle (SO/Decatur, Ala.) to move the lead to 4-0. Bennett's single to left with two away plated Burbage and Parker for the 6-0 lead. 

Faulkner struck for three more runs in the fourth as Abbigail Barron (JR/Panama City, Fla.) singled in Burbage. Tipton's second triple of the game drove in Barron and Bennett to cap the scoring. 

FAULKNER 8, JUDSON 0 

Bailey Whitfield (FR/Alabaster, Ala.) kept a lid on Judson in the nightcap, recording a five-hit, five-inning shutout on only 51 pitches.  

The offense wasted little time handing the freshman hurler a lead as it erupted for six runs in the second inning. Burbage singled in Tara Ammons (SO/Prattville, Ala.) to open the scoring. Caity Jo Lee (SO/Wetumpka, Ala.) later singled in Abby Tindol (FR/Billingsley, Ala.) and Burbage to move it to 3-0. Bennett doubled to left-cetner to drive in Parker and Lee. Fielding then singled over the head of the shortstop to plate Bennett. 

Faulkner added two more runs in the fourth as Courtney Ray (JR/Montgomery, Ala.) singled in Fielding. Madison McKee (FR/Wetumpka, Ala.)'s base hit drove home Ray to cap the scoring. 

Faulkner (13-12) travels to Judson College Wednesday for a doubleheader before returning home to host Middle Georgia State Friday and Saturday.
