Faulkner fell behind 1-0 in the first inning Friday before surging to a 16-7 victory over Brewton-Parker and wrap up the regular season.

The Eagles hung a four spot in the second inning as Hagen Holmstead (JR/Salt Lake City, Utah) and Jacob Freeland (SR/Cape Coral, Fla.) scored on a grounder. Jonathan Villa (JR/Ensenada, Mexico) then doubled in Tyler Paulsen (JR/Jolliet, Ill.). Marcus Ragan (SR/Vicksburg, Miss.) singled in Villa for the 4-1 lead. After BPC scored two in the second, Myron Mebane (SR/Tallahassee, Fla.)'s sacrifice fly in the third plated Holmstead for the 5-3 advantage.

Faulkner broke the game open in the sixth. Paulsen hit a solo shot to lead off the inning. Ragan singled in DeJhard Kimbrough (JR/Atlanta, Ga.). Max Guzman (JR/Miami, Fla.) later doubled in Ragan. Holmstead followed with a double to plate Guzman for the 9-3 lead.

The Eagles added four more in the seventh. Guzman took a bases-loaded bean ball to force home Villa. Trystin Raikes (JR/Ottawa, Ill.) picked up an RBI on a hit-by-pitch that forced in Ragan. Jacob Freeland's bases-loaded walk forced in Te'kwaan Whyte (SR/Stone Mountain, Ga.) before Troy Black (SO/Dayton, Ohio) flied out to right to drive home Guzman.

The Eagles added to the lead in the eighth when Guzman belted a three-run homer to cap the scoring.

Top-seeded Faulkner (42-10, 24-3 SSAC) opens play in the SSAC Tournament Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Brewton-Parker at Paterson Field in Montgomery.
