MOTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner gets the job done at home with a big time second half against Point. The Eagles beat the Skyhawks 96-71 at Tine Davis Gymnasium in SSAC competition.
The Eagles went into the half up 10 with a score of 41-31 after Point's John Williams hit a three at the buzzer.
In the start of the second half
J.C. Norris extended the lead to 18 with a three point at the 18:21 mark. The Skyhawks immediately came back with a three of their own to bring it back within 15.
As the half continued the Eagles lead climbed to 31 with a layup from
Sean McCurdy at 10:41. For the remainder of the half the Eagles lead never fell below 25 points.
Five Eagles players seen double figures in points.
Jayden Cooper led the way with 28.
Sean McCurdy added 21 points and 9 rebounds. Victor Muñoz with 15 points.
Jonathan Garcia with 13 points, and
J.C. Norris with 12 points.
Faulkner had 14 points off turnovers and 36 points in the paint. This helped the Eagles big time in the second half to win big over the Skyhawks.
Faulkner (9-9, 4-6 SSAC) returns to action Tuesday when it travels to Brewton-Parker at 6:30 p.m.
